Feature walls are a great way to add some flair to any room in your home, for those of you who don’t know what a feature wall is – They’re walls painted or wallpapered differently to the other three walls in the room. This draws attention to the feature wall and makes it a great focal point for your décor.

All you’ll need for this is some paint in the color of your choice (Check out a color chart to make sure it pairs with the existing wall colors) and then paint the wall, all in all this task should be completable in less than a day as you only have one wall to paint, but may take longer if you have large walls.

Blinds are important to have in every room of your home, they provide much needed privacy, block out light and can be used to bring in an extra splash of colour to your room. But if you have some old blinds that have started to fade they can negatively effect your rooms décor.

For your new blind, you’ll need to measure for your blind (You can measure your existing blind side to side and top to bottom) and find a retailer that offers blinds with next day delivery, order your blinds and in less than 24 hours you’ll have a new set of blinds ready to install. For installation just follow the retailers instructions and you should have them up in less than 30 minutes.

The layout of a room dictates how you can design your décor in a room, for instance in a living room you don’t want your sofas facing away from a feature wall as it doesn’t allow you to use it as a focal point in your room. So how you have your furniture set up changes what and where you can make changes.

By changing the layout of the furniture in a room, you can completely change the look of a room without needing to buy anything or invest a lot of time. So long as you’re strong enough to move furniture this task can be done in an hour or two, leaving you with a new look room and if you’re not happy with the new look you can always move things back or look into another layout.

And there you have it – 4 easy to do and budget-friendly home décor projects that can be done from start to finish in less than 24 hours. Obviously, this isn’t an exhaustive list and there are of course other projects you can do in a similar timeframe, these are just here to give you some inspiration!
